IFLA’s Honours and Awards recognise those who have given significant service and made distinguished contributions to the profession.

The IFLA Governing Board makes the following awards:

Furthermore, the IFLA Scroll of Appreciation is awarded each year by the IFLA Governing Board to the IFLA World Library and Information Congress (WLIC) National Committee for that year.

In addition, various IFLA Committees present a number of Professional Awards which recognise contributions to IFLA’s professional activities or to the international library and information services sector more broadly in a specific professional area.
