IFLA’s Sections are a progressive, accessible and trusted professional network, providing expertise as leaders and influencers across the field in their areas of focus. Becoming involved in a Section Standing Committee provides you with the opportunity to connect, collaborate and learn from other engaged members of the library and information field.

Each Section is led by three Officers – a Chair, Secretary and Information Coordinator. They work with a Standing Committee comprising of between 10 – 20 members. They may also have additional members to ensure diversity and mentors to help. The Sections are housed under 8 Divisions, led by a Chairperson and assisted by a Vice-Chair.
