With generous support from various sources, several grants and awards are available each year to support delegates to attend the IFLA World Library and Information Congress who may not otherwise be able to do so.

Grants are a valuable opportunity for library professionals who have an interest in the latest international trends affecting the field and who are keen to communicate with library and information specialists and experts from all over the world.

While some grants focus on certain regions or career stages, others are open to all. Be sure to read through the descriptions, check the eligibility criteria for each of the grants and apply for the most suitable one for better success.

Grants and awards generally provide selected delegates with support to cover their congress registration. In a few cases, they may also cover some part of other costs (travel, accommodation, daily expenses).

IFLA WLIC grants and awards are announced on the conference website as they become available between November and April of each year.
