The Professional Sections are the primary focus of professional activity within IFLA, specialising in a particular type of library, information service, user group, or education and development for the profession. The Professional Section Standing Committee Members contribute their expertise to activities and resources to benefit the profession globally.

Run-off elections

Due to tied results or candidates withdrawing, a number of Sections required runoff elections. These are:

  • Indigenous Matters Section 
  • Information Technology Section 
  • Library Services to People with Special Needs Section 
  • Metropolitan Libraries Section 
  • Public Libraries Section 

Their results were finalised in mid-May and are included in the PDF linked above.
