EDUCAUSE: a shared resource for information literacy

    The Information Literacy Section provides an international platform for libraries and educational communities to share and improve information literacy practices, research in IFLA and with the broader library community. Working collaboratively with international and education communities, the Section organise programmes and activities that focus on various aspects of information literacy and areas for professional development, research and practice, education and training.

            The joint webinar from the IFLA Information Literacy (IL) Section and Library Services to People with Special Needs (LSN) Section on “Using Universal Design for Learning to Enhance Information Literacy Programs: Online and in the Library” will be aired live twice in opposite time zones to accommodate participants in different parts of the world. Three different world class speakers will be in each webinar so sign up for one or both.

              Two webinars for Global Media and Information Literacy Week

                As part of the University of Sheffield Information School celebrations of Global MIL Week 24-31 October, they are holding two webinars, following this year's MIL week theme of "Media and Information Literate Citizens: Informed, Engaged, Empowered". They are both 30 minutes (20 minute presentation + 10 minutes discussion) and open to anyone to attend.

                  Global Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Week, commemorated annually, is a major occasion for stakeholders to review and celebrate the progress achieved towards “MIL for All”. UNESCO and GAPMIL are calling partners all over the world to promote Global MIL Week. Together with its Feature Events (International MIL and Intercultural Dialogue Conference and Youth Agenda Forum), Global MIL Week calls for local events around the world to promote MIL connections across disciplines and professions.
