The experts elected to IFLA’s committees, including the Section Standing Committees, comprise the biggest brains trust in the library field. IFLA’s Sections cover every aspect of the library profession from different services to library types. There is certain to be a Section of interest to you.

Each category of membership entitles you to register for one or more Sections for free – see our Membership categories webpage for more. Beyond this, you may join as many additional sections as you like. However each additional Section incurs a fee which will be added to your membership dues.

Being registered to a Section entitles you to nominate and elect the members of the Section Standing Committee. You can also join the Section’s mailing list. The Section Standing Committee will be in contact with news and updates on their activities.

New association members are also automatically registered for the Management of Library Associations Section.

Each Member and Affiliate will also be automatically registered for the corresponding IFLA Regional Division in which they are based. IFLA’s Regional Divisions are Asia-Oceania, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, Middle East and North Africa, North America and Sub-Saharan Africa.
