Recognizing Innovative Contributions to Marketing in the Library Field
The IFLA Section on Management and Marketing is delighted to launch this year’s International Library Marketing Award continuing once again its partnership with award sponsor PressReader. The award is given to the library that demonstrates the best marketing activity to increase awareness and usage of their offer or services, through creative, results-oriented marketing projects or campaigns.
“As the long-time sponsor of this award, we at PressReader are continuously inspired by the creativity and passion displayed by librarians and their marketing teams. We anticipate another year of remarkable innovation.” says James Fairbotham, Senior Global Sales Manager of PressReader. “Despite the various challenges of the past few years, libraries consistently demonstrate their inventive approaches to community service and outreach. This year, the funds will contribute to local libraries’ technology purchases and support marketing initiatives for community engagement. PressReader remains committed to standing alongside libraries, reinforcing their role as the beacon of trustworthy information and applauding their dedication to community outreach.”
Three finalists will be selected based on innovative contributions to marketing in the library field. The winning libraries will receive funds towards the purchase of new technology for their library-related activities to improve the services or impact that libraries offer.
First place receives €3,000, second €2,000, and third €1,500. The awards also honour the top 10 submissions with certificates of recognition and a Premium PressReader account.
This year, the winners not only receive well-deserved recognition but are also extended a special invitation to showcase their best practices in marketing at a virtual awards ceremony. This represents an extraordinary opportunity for libraries around the world to shine a spotlight on their exceptional achievements and share valuable insights.
“These awards recognise the valuable contribution marketing makes in helping libraries reach new users and increasing the impact they have in their communities. We are really looking forward to seeing all the creativity and innovation which has been happening in libraries over the last year” says IFLA Management and Marketing Chair Nick Boxem.
