Professional Sections, SIGs and Review Groups
Professional Section Standing Committees
The Professional Sections are the primary focus of professional activity within IFLA, specialising in a particular type of library, information service, user group, or education and development for the profession. The Professional Section Standing Committee Members contribute their expertise to activities and resources to benefit the profession globally.
Special Interest Groups
Special Interest Groups can establish a formal committee to assist the Convenor in the activities that the Group wishes to accomplish.
Review Groups
IFLA’s Review Groups maintain, support and develop work on IFLA’s technical standards, bibliographic models, linked data and formats such as UNIMARC.
