Program Title: Leadership in Pioneering Digital Preservation
The IFLA Serials and Other Continuing Resources Section (SCORE) invites paper proposals to be presented at their session on 23 August 2023 at the World Library and Information Congress (WLIC) in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Theme: Inclusivity and access to digital knowledge through digital preservation This program will highlight library leadership in the support and innovation of digital preservation initiatives. As the world’s memory keepers, libraries are committed partners in sustaining repositories of the world’s primary and scholarly resources. Born digital and digitized resources pose unique challenges in this commitment. We seek proposals detailing how librarians, publishers, and information professionals are doing to ensure access to these important resources.

- Challenges of digital preservation
- Equity in digital preservation
- Digital preservation standards
- Preservation of licensed e-books
- Digital preservation initiatives
- Digital preservation of research data
- Policies and regulations of digital preservation
- Education LIS and digital preservation
- Title of proposed presentation
- Abstract of the proposed paper (no more than 250 words)
- Name(s) of presenters and positions and or titles
- Employer or affiliated institution
- Contact information including email address
- Short biographical statement of no more than 100 words
- Note a willingness to comply with IFLA’s Authors’ Permission
- Most papers will be presented in person, there is some flexibility to submit recorded presentations
